Bhishak Platform is an end to end Hospital Management Suite that integrates different functions.  While this platform is built on robust Microsoft Technologies, this platform can be implemented from small clinic to franchisee kind of a health organization to above 1000 bed major hospital.

Without Bhishak Platform, operational procedures of a small hospital which is not automated will be like:
1.  Patient arrives at the reception and he fills the manual details on a pre-formatted registration form. 
 
2.  Receptionist creates a manual file with patient details and prints/ write an OPD form with name/ age / details printed on it; also attaches the registration form that was filled with patient medical history details
 
3.  Patient takes the OPD form to the attending Nurse for measuring the vitals before seeing the doctor.  Vitals information is update on the OPD form. 
 
4.  After the vitals check, Patient is seen by Doctor who first understands the patient history from the registration form and asks relevant questions about the ailment.  Once his preliminary diagnosis is done, either he asks for further lab tests to finalize on the diagnosis or prescribes medicines for the patient to buy. 
 
5.  If the patient requires to be admitted as in-patient, he would make required suggestion for attending to Nurse to pass on the case to IPD department. 
In a moderately automated hospital, the operational procedure will be like: 

1.  Patient arrives at the reception and he fills the manual details on a pre-formatted registration form.  

2.  Receptionist enters the patient details into semi-automated HIMS system and prints the OPD form which has pre-printed information.

3.  On the pre-printed form, on one corner, nurse updates the vitals information and sends the patient for doctor visit. 

4.  Doctor reviews the patient vitals and updates his diagnosis, recommendation of lab tests and medicines in the system; then prints the information on the OPD form; signs and gives it to the patient. 

5.  At pharmacy, patient information is selected and required medication is sold and gives the receipt.  

In a completely automated hospitals, the operational procedures are like:  

1.  Patient arrives at the reception and he fills the manual details on a pre-formatted registration form.  

2.  Receptionist enters the patient details into semi-automated HIMS system and prints the OPD form which has pre-printed information.

3.  Nurse takes the vitals of the patient and updates the information into the system asks the patient to visit the doctor. 

4.  Doctor reviews the patient vitals and history in the system; asks relevant questions and updates his diagnosis, recommendation of lab tests and medicines in the system; then prints the information on the OPD form; signs and gives it to the patient. 

5.  At diagnostics, patient information is selected and required medication is sold and gives the receipt.  

If patient to be admitted as in-patient, patient gets converted to in-patient and an appropriate bed is allocated.
